Christopher Tin is a highly acclaimed two-time Grammy-winning American composer of concert and media music. His album To Shiver the Sky debuted at #1 on the Classical Billboard chart, and was funded by a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. On commission to the Metropolitan Choral Festival, he has reorchestrated To Shiver the Sky for chamber orchestra and we are very excited to premiere this work in August 2025 at the 13th Annual Summer Festival in Denver.
To Shiver the Sky is a testament to Tin's ambitious and visionary approach. This 2020 album is an oratorio that explores the history of human flight. It draws inspiration from the words of historical figures like Leonardo da Vinci, Jules Verne, and Amelia Earhart. The work is sung in multiple languages, and it beautifully captures the human spirit's yearning to conquer the skies. The work is a wonderful example of how Christopher Tin takes historical concepts, and creates beautiful and moving musical pieces. To Shiver the Sky's opening piece, Sogno di Volare was composed as a main theme for the 2016 video game, Civilization VI.
Tickets are FREE but seats are limited. Please register to claim your seat for the concert.
Join us at Coors Field on Tuesday August 5th when MCF sings the National Anthem to start the game.

MOVING
We had TWO standing ovations, and some of my friends said they wept during the Requiem because it was so moving. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this experience.

TRANSPORTED
We were totally wowed by the MCF concert this past Saturday evening. I am so glad we experienced it in person rather than live-streaming as we did last year. I felt transported to heaven. It brought tears to my eyes.
